Who was your favourite teacher?

Mr Casey

What are your best memories?

My best memories from my time at Sacred Heart mostly come from representing the school as part of the football team. There were some thrilling games played at the school and across the county but none better than the derby match against West Redcar. It was a tight 1-1 draw until the final minutes of the game when I rose like a salmon in the opposition's penalty area and nodded home the winning goal.  A moment I remember to this day.

What is your most interesting experience?

Since leaving Sacred Heart I have had some amazing life experiences, including travelling to exotic countries and exploring different cultures. My favourite country is Thailand and I have been fortunate enough to travel there multiple times. There I have trekked on elephants, danced with Zulu warriors, walked with lions and tried the hottest chilli in the world.

What do you do now?

Learning Manager at Outwood Academy Acklam

Any other comments?

I remember my school days fondly and now appreciate fully the value of the education I received at Sacred Heart.  I have lifelong friends from my school days and it was due to the influence of my teachers that I now pursue my career in education.  My goal is, one day, to return to the school I attended and work in the establishment in which I flourished as a student.  It still brings a smile to my face and a feeling of pride when I see a student in the school's uniform.  I would be really interested to come in and have a look round one day.
